This is a high clearance DIY weld-together winch bumper and skid plate kit for the 6th generation (2021+) Ford Bronco. It features a bolt-on design, protected winch mount, and the best approach angle of any bumper on the market. The factory parking sensor cutouts are optional, making for an easy swap into this new bumper. The high clearance design makes your Bronco look more aggressive by showing off your front suspension and tires. In addition, this bumper frees up a ton of space in your front wheel wells and allows you to easily run 37+" tires without any bumper interference. This bumper and skid plate allow you to forget about approach angle and substantially improve the offroad capability of your Bronco. They offers excellent protection from rocks, trees and animal strikes and have been kept to a weight of 91.7lbs (or 45.5lbs in aluminum) through careful design work.

Description

The profile of this bumper has been designed with maximum ground clearance and approach angles put first. The bumper sits as high and tight to the front of the 6th generation 2021+ Ford Bronco as possible, while the angled lower faces will smoothly slide over obstacles and ensure you do not get hung up on the trail. The side wings of this bumper wrap around to the front wheel wells and tie directly into the main frame mounting plates for true offroad protection. These side wings will take a serious hit without flexing or deflecting into the vehicle body. We know that most Bronco owners want to run oversized tires and more aggressive wheel offsets. This can create interference issues with the stock front bumper. We have thought ahead and specifically designed these bumper side wings to easily clear 37+” tires. This bumper uses a total of 8 factory mounting points to solidly mount it to the frame. This distributes impact and winching forces evenly across your frame and makes for the stiffest mounting interface of any bumper on the market. This bumper is also available with an optional lower skid plate that provides a smooth surface to slide across trail obstacles and protects your vulnerable engine bay parts. This skid plate is mostly CNC-formed into shape and requires very little welding to complete it.

The main section of this bumper is also CNC-bent out of a single piece of  3/16″ P&O Steel. This greatly reduces the amount of welding and grinding required by you and makes for a cleaner finished product. If you are paying to have the bumper assembled by a welding shop, this significantly lowers the cost.

We finished this bumper off with a 20″ single row light bar mount, two integrated light buckets for surface mount LED pod lights (custom light cut outs available by request), an integrated winch mount to accept all standard 8-12k lb winches with removable solenoids, and heavy duty 9/16″ recovery points that are placed directly in line with the Ford Bronco frame to eliminate any leveraging effects. These recovery points are formed by laser cut steel plates that pass through the bumper shell and tie directly into the Ford Bronco frame as part of the bumper’s main mounting brackets. The recovery points then get welded to the in and outside of the bumper shell. These factors all combine to form recovery points that minimize stress on your Ford Bronco frame and provide reliable recoveries of heavily loaded vehicles in the worst of offroad situations. The low profile design has resulted in very reasonable weights of 61.8lbs + 29.9lbs for the steel bumper + skid plate. For the aluminum version, 31lbs + 14.5lbs for the bumper + skid plate. Considering that this bumper replaces your factory bumper and associated components, the resulting weight increase to your Ford Bronco is surprisingly minimal. We weighed all of these components removed and found they added up to a total of 43.8lbs! This means that our steel bumper and skid plate only increases your Ford Bronco’s weight by 48lbs and our aluminum version is essentially a wash!  This reduces added stress on your vehicle, maintains precious payload capacity, and allows you to keep your factory suspension if desired.

Don’t want to lose your factory parking sensor system? No problem. This bumper can be ordered with CNC-cut ports for each of the 4 factory parking sensors as well as internal routing ports for the factory wiring harness to pass through without any modification or extensions required (Please email us or put a comment in your order notes section to receive this option). Simply pop the sensors into this replacement bumper, route the factory harness through the internal ports, and plug it back into the vehicle. The factory wiring harness is easily removed from the stock bumper and transferred to the Coastal Offroad bumper. This allow you to wire in our LED driving lights and your factory parking sensors right into the Coastal Offroad bumper using the factory wiring harness. When removing the Coastal Offroad bumper from the vehicle, all wiring is then conveniently disconnected all at once via the factory plugs located in front of each wheel well.
