2019+ Ford Ranger Front Bumper Kit

From: CAD$844.55

This is a high clearance DIY weld-together bumper kit for the 2019+ Ford Ranger. It features a low profile design, fully bolt-on construction, protected winch mount and one of the best approach angles on the market. The high clearance design makes your Ranger look more aggressive by showing off your front suspension and tires. In addition, this bumper frees up a ton of space in your front wheel wells and allows you to easily run 35" tires without any bumper interference. This bumper allows you to forget about approach angle and substantially improves the offroad capability of your Ranger. It offers excellent protection from rocks, trees and animal strikes and has been kept to a very reasonable weight of 94lbs (or 47lbs in aluminum) through careful design work. And unlike many other bumpers on the market, absolutely no modification of the vehicle body or frame is required and the vehicle can be easily returned back to stock if desired.

The main section of this bumper as well as the optional skid plate are each CNC-bent out of a single piece of  3/16" P&O Steel. This greatly reduces the amount of welding and grinding required by you and makes for a cleaner finished product. If you are paying to have the bumper assembled by a welding shop, this significantly lowers the cost.

Description

The profile of this bumper has been designed with maximum ground clearance and approach angles put first. The bumper sits as high and tight to the front of the 2019+ Ford Ranger as possible, while the angled lower faces will smoothly slide over obstacles and ensure you do not get hung up on the trail. The side wings of this bumper wrap around to the front wheel wells and tie directly into the main frame mounting plates for true offroad protection. These side wings will take a serious hit without flexing or deflecting into the vehicle body. We know that most Ford Ranger owners want to run oversized tires and more aggressive wheel offsets. This can create interference issues with the stock front bumper. We have thought ahead and specifically designed these bumper side wings to easily clear 35″ tires. This bumper uses a total of 12 factory mounting points to solidly mount it to the frame (no drilling required). This distributes impact and winching forces evenly across your frame and makes for the stiffest mounting interface of any bumper on the market.

This bumper is also available with an optional lower skid plate that provides a smooth surface to slide across trail obstacles and protects your vulnerable radiator and engine bay parts. It also provides even more additional ground clearance compared to the flimsy stock skid plate This skid plate is fully CNC-bent into shape and only requires two very small 1″ long welds to complete it. It has CNC cut outs that improve airflow to the radiator as well as raised sides that stiffen the skid plate and prevent debris from entering the engine bay from the sides.

Don’t want to lose your factory parking sensors or Adaptive Cruise Control system? No problem. This bumper kit comes with CNC-cut ports for each of the 4 factory parking sensors as well as internal routing ports for the factory wiring harness to pass through without any modification or extensions required. Simply pop the sensors into this replacement bumper, route the factory harness through the internal ports, and plug it back into the vehicle.

We finished this bumper off with four integrated light buckets for surface mount LED pod lights (custom light cut outs available by request, such as a light bar version), an integrated winch mount to accept all standard 8-12k lb winches with removable solenoids, and heavy duty 9/16″ recovery points. These recovery points are placed directly in line with the Ford Ranger frame to eliminate any leveraging effects. They are formed by laser cut steel plates that pass through the bumper shell and tie directly into the Ford Ranger frame as part of the bumper’s main mounting brackets. The recovery points then get welded to the in and outside of the bumper shell. These factors all combine to form recovery points that minimize stress on your Ford Ranger frame and provide reliable recoveries of heavily loaded vehicles in the worst of offroad situations. The low profile design has resulted in very reasonable weights of 94lbs for the steel bumper and 47lbs for the aluminum version. Considering that this bumper replaces your factory bumper and associated components, the resulting weight increase to your Ford Ranger is surprisingly minimal. This reduces added stress on your vehicle, maintains precious payload capacity, and allows you to keep your factory suspension if desired.

•DIY Weld-together kit – This bumper arrives as precision CNC-laser cut and bent pieces that you then weld together (detailed assembly instructions included)

•CNC-bent plates greatly reduces amount of welding and grinding required by you and makes for a cleaner finished product

• All kits ship as clean, bare metal that is ready to weld out of the box – the Nitrogen laser cutting technology means no cutting edge oxidation or slag and thus easier and stronger welds

•Maintains Factory Parking Sensor System

•Compatible with drop bracket lifts, standard suspension lifts, and body lifts.

•Low profile design is engineered to provide maximum ground clearance and complement the factory body lines – this bumper protrudes less than 2″ from the center of the grill!

•Heavy duty 3/16″ plate steel construction for maximum offroad strength and durability

•Optional 1/4″ 5052 aluminum for a lightweight yet very durable overlanding setup (47lb weight savings)

•Bolts directly to frame using a total of 12 factory mounting points – no drilling required

• Protected winch mount fits all standard 8000-12,000lb winches with removable solenoids

•Integrated 9/16″ thick clevis mounts maximize clearance and allow the use of ¾” D-Rings and pull directly off of the frame for confident recoveries of heavily loaded vehicles

•Four Integrated LED pod mounts – slotted mounting tabs give tons of adjustment to fit just about any 3×3″ surface mount pod light

•Pre-drilled to mount front license plate

•Optional heavy duty grill and headlight tubing for added protection

•Optional Adaptive Cruise Control Relocation Bracket –  required for vehicles equipped with Adaptive cruise control system. This CNC bent 2-piece bracket moves the ACC sensor to behind the Ranger’s grill and is highly adjustable to tune the sensitivity of the system. Instructions included. (WARNING – sensor should be re-calibrated by a certified Ford technician after installation. Coastal Offroad is not responsible for any death or injury caused by malfunction of this system).

Bumper assembly

As for welding, with everything designed using CAD software and then CNC laser-cut to size, the pieces fit together perfectly and this makes for a very simple assembly process. All kits come with detailed instructions with plenty of clearly labelled diagrams that are made using cutting-edge CAD software. This bumper kit is well within the ability of a novice welder and many customers have purchased it as their very first welding project with great results! This is made possible by the clean parts fit-ups and thick material. These are two factors that make welding significantly easier. Welding is one of those skills that is easier to learn than you may think and once you can do it, you’ll wonder how you ever got by without it. Alternatively, many individuals buy the kits and then have a local welder assemble it for them. Even in this case, it typically ends up being less expensive than buying a pre-fabricated bumper – especially after considering the lower shipping costs of our kits vs. fully assembled bumpers.
